How to keep wine from spoiling?

Does it matter if the wine lies horizontal or stands upright?
I've noticed reds, such as Burgundy and Merlot, lose color as well volume, especially if it hasn't been used for months at a time, if stored away in an under cabinet.

a few basic tips.......

Drink it sooner, rather than later. As simplistic as this sounds, it is the number one reason why most wine "goes bad." Ninety-five percent of all wine made every year was meant to be drunk within the first three years of production.

Keep it out of sunlight. Sun is one of wine's worst enemies. It literally changes the chemical composition of the wine, itself. A dark closet or low lying cupboard is good.

Keep it at a constant temperature. This is wine's other worst enemy. The more the temperature vascilates, the more likely the wine will oxidize.

Keep it at a constant humidity. This is where wine cellars and wine storage units start coming into play. Just as with heat and cold, humidity can also affect the cork.

what kind of wine glasses should I get?

I just started drinking red wine and I went to target 2 buy some glasses n I found my different kinds like Bordeaux, Burgundy, Merlot tumblers and point noir ..... ( all riedel vivant brand)
I don't know what's the difference between these kinds and which one should I get
