The meek shall inherit the earth?

If it says in the bible that the meek shall inherit the earth, why is everything in church made of gold? Gold chalices, gold collection plates, gold candle holders, etc. Yet another reason I don't believe... Religion is too hypocritical.

I don't have any gold, except in my teeth.

I am a poor man, earning less than $25,000 per year (US$). Yet I give away at least 25 per cent of my income to promote the Gospel and help the poor and have been doing so for many years. I am pleased to do so, and I lack nothing. I love to share the Gospel and the Word of God, and I have found it to be a source of great peace and stability in my life.
God is not going to ask you what somebody else did with their life - He is going to ask you what you did with your life.

The meek will indeed inherit the earth; but not in this age, but in the age to come.

What are you giving for Christmas?

Just wondering, and do you have any ideas what i could give my mom?
The last like 7 years I've given her candles + bath stuff.

Here's my list

Best friend - toy pony, energy drink, pretzels, chocolate (inside jokes + she moved so she can't get these specific things anymore; they are her favorites)
Mom - candy, notepad, ?
Dad - good work socks
Nanny (grandmother) - tin plates, silverware holder, drawn card
Grandpa - Card

I'm making my mother an Essay for the holidays to show how much I appreciate her. I want her to know that I really do love and care about her no matter how many times we may argue or squabble. You can do this idea to. If she's your role model, or inspiring to you- write it to her. How is she? Why is she? Is she?

You could get a coupon book full of chores and things you'll do for her whenever she wants.
Bring her out to dinner if your budget allows it.
Bake for her
Candles and bath stuff is nice, but you can also add my ideas to them.

I'm actually just making my mom an essay, and baking brownies for my friends. I apologized to my siblings this year, I have no money. I'm going to use 20$ to maybe get them something small.
