How to use Photoshop to prepare a photo for printing on canvas?

I'm going to have this picture of mine uploaded onto a website and they will print it on canvas and have it stretched on a wooden internal frame. Now, for the stretching, Im supposed to "repeat" the image so i don't loose some of the image. Does anyone know how to do that in PS Elements? And i've also heard that you have to do some tweaking in contrast/saturation/etc. ...is that true?

I've done a few prints on canvas with Mpix, inclluding gallery wraps and just plain prints on canvas with no wrap. The plain prints required nothing special to prepare them for printing. You just submit it as if it was going to be done on any paper. You can get away with a much lower resolution with a canvas print, first, because the texture gives the appearance of low resolution, and second, because paintings are not as clear as photographs anyhow. You can use this to your advantage by enlarging a smaller print that you would not normally think about printing in such a large size.

Mpix has a template for their gallery wraps. You have to download the template and submit the image in the format dictated by template.I have written up quite a bit of information here and you might find it helpful: http://www.flickr.com/photos/samfeinstein/3353972928/ Pay attention to the part about creating "waste image" that will be lost in the wrap process. You can see it easily in the trees. This artifact was placed right on the fold over to the REAR of the stretcher, so it didn't matter. That is put under a black backing anyhow.

Go to Mpix and read about their process. If you don't use them, I'm sure that most places will be similar.
