Does your child's room have a theme?

I had a theme for my daughters nursery called Gossamer Wings. Its a really girly theme with butterflies, dragonflies and ladybugs. It came with matching bedding, window valance wall decor and bedding. Now that she is older and ready for a toddler bed, I would like to change her theme.

Just wondering what your child's nursery theme was, and what you changed it to (if you did).

if i ever had a little girl i would do a princess theme for her room and get all the princesses from the disney films and run with that. i just love disney princess themes even though i am 28 with no children lol

How should I decorate my daughters nursery?

So I live in an apartment were i cant paint the walls or do wall paper. The babies room is 10'2" by 9'11". I have a lime green crib from ikea & a big light brown wood dresser & a light brown reclyner. So im not sure what all a babies room absolutely needs since this is my first child but i think ive got the basics. What i need help with is decor ideas & what type of things can i put in her room to stimulate her brain (like i hear babies love to look at colorfull posters?) & should i keep a stereo in her room for lullibies? Also, how can i make this lime green crib not stick out horribly & make the room soothing & calm? Any tips, ideas or pictures would be appreciated.

Yes, absolutely get colorful posters and you can also get some of those wall decals that won't do anything to the wall when you take them off, they work great in rented places. You can get a white noise machine that plays soothing sounds of rain, waterfalls, crickets, etc. I got one when my daughter was a newborn and now she is 2 1/2 and still uses it every night. They have these awesome nightlights that project images onto the ceiling, I think they sell them at toys r us, you should check it out. The nursery doesn't have to match, it can be a a bunch of different colors, babies love bright colors and the crib sounds perfect for that.
