Incense From China
Is it bad burning scented (wax) candles?
Is it harmful to my health? What are some healthier alternatives?
The candles I have are cheap, about $7 (like 16 cm tall and 7 cm wide), they are from bargin shops so they are made in China. If I want to get the something similar that is not made in Asia, it will cost me around $35! But I'm not sure if the expensive ones are better for health or not?
I need to burn candles in my room for a few reasons - First, my housemate cooks stinky food and the odor comes in to my room. Second, I burn the candles when I do yoga (with some 'zen' music). Third, it's romantic and I like the smell :p
*My grandma has been a buddhist for over 60 years and she burns incense stick ALOT in her house everyday, and she is 90 something, vegan, has alot of hair with some grey hair and no sickness, just some sore bones. So is incense stick better? (Her incense from China as well)
I have a chocloate scented one and I understand how good they smell and I want to light it everyday! But try to avoid it as my mom always tell me they can give you cancer blar blar blar...
