i got my retainer 3 days ago and its "peeling"?

yeah sounds weird, i know. but i cant explain it any other way. i got the removable one for the top and permanent ones on the bottom. well, idk if it makes a difference but my removable ones are red and i rinse them every time i take em off and put em on (cuz i feel nasty if i dont) and i notice that everytime i take em off (to eat or brush) there is like white stuff on the edges and everywhere (it looks like its peeling!)
and i really dont wanna be "eating" the stuff it made out of...so yea.

and also, i kinda feel as if my four front teeth on my upper jaw are kinda sticking out (when i smile) so will the retainer fix that?
i mean, they are straight and prefect!!!, but it looks like they are a little out...

your first question i cannot answer but as for your second one, i have some insight. When I first got my top braces off I couldn't stop thinking how i looked like hannah Montana and how her big teeth stick out. I was rather upset honestly. However, once I woke up the next morning, it was a lot better, and over the next few days they just went back to "normal". make sure you're wearing your retainers though.

maybe try brushing with toothpaste. And maybe use new toothpaste to brush them rather than what is left over from brushing your teeth
