First Bake Sale Questions?

Chocolate Chip Cookies (should I package like 6 in a bag, and what price should I put on them?)

Chocolate Covered Pretzels with sprinkles or nuts (should I package like 6 in a cellophane bag all pretty, and what price should I put on them?)

Cupcakes (I know on one website they said if you put some kind of toothpick decoration in each top they are easier to wrap that way, what price and how many per plate?) (do minis or regular size sell better?)

or should I skip cupcakes and go with
Rice Krispie Treats? (package and price?)

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies (package like chocolate chip cookies, same price?)

I'm doing the bake sale with another mom and she is doing banana bread, peanut brittle.

Any other great sellers we are missing?

Okay sorry but I have to start off with my bake sale spiel.

What is this bake sale for? When there are only two Moms doing it and I stop by I think two things? Is this a worthy cause? And why are the kids not doing the work?

Bake sales are usually such a sucess becuase it is a group or organization hosting it. The group/organizaion does Not have o put any money forward and sells All donated items so it is pure profit. So keep this in mind. You are not going to have as much secess when you are having to front the "start up costs".

The next thing is when I go to a bake sale and everything is WAY over priced. I can make everything myself and I don't mind helping someone out but I am not going to pay 4 bucks for 6 cookies and so on like I have seen at a lot of bake sales lately.

As far as what you have on your list.

Choc chip cooie are great. I think 6 per bag or plate is great. 2 bucks or even up to 2.50 would be fine. Same for the oatrmeal raisen. ALL cookies as a matter of fact should be about this pircie. If you don't want to do oatmeal do peanut butter and you are NOT targetting kids. You are also looking for padults who just don;t want to do thru the hassle.

Capcakes I would do so that are say .75 each or a dozen for 3.75 or so. If you decorate the tops just let the frosting set up for a few minutes first. Use a good buttercream etc... and then genbtly lay the paslic on the top and you will be fine.

I agree skip the rice krispies. They are yummy but they are just to readily available.

The other good sellers would be brownies, or even something savory. Such as cornbread, biscuits etc...

And why are you doing like 4 or 5 things and the other mom is only doing two things?

How many calories in these cookies?

I have a recipe for no-bake nightmare cookies but there are no nutrition facts... Do you have any idea how much sugar/protein or calories is in this one? Thanks for your time

2/3 cup maple syrup
1/8 tbs olive oil
1 tbs cinnamon
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 rolled oats
1 tsp vanilla
4-5 tbs unsweetened coco powder

Btw.. If anyone wants to make them, there DELICIOUS! Heres what you do...

Heat up the maple syrup, coco powder, cinnamon, and oil in a sauce pan. Boil for 2-3 minutes (not to hard of a boil!) Then remove heat. Add vanilla, then everything else. Stir all together until mixed!

On a plate covered in wax paper plop spoonfuls (ball shapes) on the wax paper. Put in fridge to chill. (Or eat warm dough! It's so yummy!)

Assuming it makes 12 cookies, and you used 1 tbs. of oil ("1/8 tbs"? Wtf?)... Each cookie would be around 125 calories. They sound tasty, and maybe even SLIGHTLY healthful!
...But only slightly.
