Zildjann Cymbal Polish?

I used my Zildjiann cymbal polish on my brass zildjann hi hat. I Lightly put a small amount on and rubbed it, without touching the logo. Then when i removed it, it left a black residue that spread when i rubbed it, what am i doing wrong.

you should probably call the customer service number thing. i don't know a lot about drums, but i'd get someone who does over to your house and show them how you polished the cymbals and see if they can help.

How do you clean fancy, heavy aluminum food trays (from the 50's and 60's) when they get pitted?

I have a collection of these beautiful trays and love to use them. When they get old, there is tiny black pitting on them. I have seen metal polish for silver, brass, gold, but not brushed aluminum.

I inherited many of these trays and use Barkeeper's Friend, Zep Aluminum cleaner and polish or Kleen King Aluminum Cleaner on them. I am careful not to grind it into the finish, but it does take care of the pitting. Then I seal the area with a dab of silver and clear nail polish to keep it from spreading.
