looking for a lavender flower petal design baby quilt top to embroider?

I would like to find a pattern similiar to the baby quilt at Pottery Barn kids called Lavender flower petals. I want to embroider this quilt top for my expected Granddaughter

I looked at the Pottery Barn Kids website - I assume you mean the Lavender Flower Patch quilt (first link below). If so, the "Lavender" in the name is more about the color than the actual flower, since lavender looks nothing like this. You could probably draw this out yourself (click the "view larger" link for better detail). It looks like the flower petal are appliqued on, but they're a fairly simple shape so it shouldn't be too difficult. The stems appear to be embroidered, and they're also nice simple straight lines. If you really want the exact shapes, print the blown up picture and then enlarge it further on a copy machine until it's the size you want.

It's an adorable quilt - I'm sure your version will be beautiful.

beach themed bedroom? help?

hey yall!! I really want to repaint my bedroom with a beach theme. I really hate tacky beach themed bedrooms ex. surfboards on the walls, hawaiian flower pillows, etc. anywayz, i want more of a pottery barn look. my mom is a painter and i want her to paint the sea on the walls. sand is khaki color, and the ocean is going from gray to gray/blue. i want gray to be the prominent color, so i can have frutniture that is light khaki color to match the sand, and my bed clothes will be gray, and i'm thinking pillows with embroidered sea stars. and beach theme accessories, glass with sand it in? tht sort of thing? does this seem good? any suggestions? any pics of beach themed bedrooms tht might match my image??

You are on the right track!!!
Think gradienting to a bluer sky though or you will have a gloomy look. There is no rule that you can't paint the ceiling blue. Perhaps add a few stars invisable during the day that glow in the dark and mimic the constellations.

Non tacky embellishments:

There are glass lamps you can fill with starfish shells sand that will pop the look. A galvanized vase with wood cattails and flowers like anise will look sharp in there.

A crown (or canopy) at the head of the bed with netting will soften the look. You can even suspend the netting from drift wood.

An old battered chest or trunk will add some whimsy and is a great place for storage.

Oh! and of you can get an ocean landscape image and match the gradient on the wall ( I don't know your moms skill level) and hang the image accordingly it will give you a beautiful designer transition.
