What do I need to replace a door lock cylinder in a 2000 Chevy Cavalier?

My front driver side lock stopped working and it needs to be replaced. Do I need just the cyilinder itself or any of the other items I read about like rods, springs, etc?
UPDATE: The lock will work from the inside (I can lock and unlock the door inside the car). However, I cannot get into the car through the drivers side door from the outside when locked. I stick the key in and it doesnt turn just stays upright! Any new suggestions?

most of the time if lock turns freely there is a rod that goes from the cylinder to the door latch it has plastic clips that hold it in place check them i have seen them slide off and let the the rod fall out so lock will not work with the key

Genie garage door opener will not shut?

My Genie chain drive garage door opener (model PCG650) will open and stop at the upper limit switch but not shut with either remote or wall push button.
I tried disconnecting the lower limit switch but its exactly the same. The Safety Sensors are lit, aligned and clean.
The door springs are set correctly and I have experimented with adjusting the Force control.

I am afraid I may have to replace the expensive Control Board.

Any ideas?

First, sorry about your luck. Genie's are garbage.
The first thing to check is the down limit switch. Sometimes they stick closed, and will not allow the opener to close.
Beyond that, the problem may be in the circuit board, such as a bad relay.
Personally, I wouldn't spend the money to fix a Genie. Better off replacing it.
Stick with Chamberlain, Sears, or Liftmaster. Much better units.
