Fisher Stove doors - Rope Seal?

I have inherited a fisher stove without any rope sealing the doors.

Can someone outline (a picture would be good, if possible!) how th rope goes on the inside of the door (or does it do on the box itself?

Take a piece of the old rope and take a tape measure and get the length of the door for the rope.. Take it to a Big Box Store or best a fireplace or good hardware And get the same thickness, some are flat round etc. They also sell the cement that holds the rope onto the door. Wire brush it clean. Starting on the bottom half way along the door, squeeze a little cement and start applying the rope. You may need some one to hold the rope at the beginning or tape it to the door. Cement a little at a time until you get the whole door done. At the end of the rope you can take a good pair is scissors and cut the excess. leave a small bit to over lap a little. Try the door and make any small adjustments Read the bottle for the drying time and when to have it heat up close the door and let it dry. Also suggest wearing some disposable gloves and eye cover
