Vinyl records and teen room.?

So I want to hang vinyl records on my bedroom walls, I plan on going to a thrift store and buying old records there, but I was unsure of whether or not the artist of the record mattered? Would it be weird to just buy any random records to hang on my walls?
Thing is, I'm only 14 years old and so I don't know too many old bands.

I don't think the artist matters, unless your room is very decade-specific ...

If, for example, you were doing a '50's room, you'd want the records to be of known '50's artists ... geeeez, that's ancient history, isn't it!

If you're just going for overall effect, it will make no difference. Who is really going to read them anyway?

Here's a suggestion, though ... since you're buying at thrift stores, and only paying a little for each one ... choose records according to the album-cover artwork. And use those album-covers as art-pieces, too ... album-cover art was once almost as important as the music on the record inside, and some vintage album covers are more valuable than the records themselves!

Choose what you like, or what you can find and buy cheaply. Sounds like a really cool theme for a room, so have fun with it, and good luck!
